I've been playing guitar since I was about 14 years old. I played bass guitar in bar bands for over 25 years. In 1997 I hung up the band thing but I continue to enjoy playing my guitars. Playing the guitar is great therapy and can quickly turn a bad day into a forgotten afterthought.
I consider myself an average
guitar player but I continue to try and learn and improve. I recently
purchased a
Line 6 Spider Jam amplifier and it has opened a
whole new realm of guitar playing for me. You see this amplifier is essentially
a 'band-in-a-box'. I can finally practice with my own band (without all the
egos!)
